IT IS JUST FOR A SEASON
In His wisdom, God made the different seasons of the earth. The book of Ecclesiastes rightly tells us that there is time for every thing. Still saying the same thing in a different way, Genesis 8:22 tells us that seedtime will always alternate with harvest time. This shows us that no condition is ordained to last forever.
Exodus 12:51 says, And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies. I can imagine their joy that morning. They moved from slavery into freedom. They translated from oppression to their glorious liberty.
The victory of Israel here is more than a story to me. It tells me that no matter what oppression you may be going through today, it will equally come to an end. Has lack and poverty besieged your home? It will come to an end. Is it sickness that is tormenting you or yours? It has an expiry date.
All we need to do is to borrow some lessons from Moses here to know how to exit recessive or oppressive zones. Moses was vitally connected to God. He was in communication with God always. He never relented in confronting Pharaoh with the Word of God. At the end of the day, hear what Pharaoh told him in Exodus 12:31. It says…. Rise up and get you forth from my people, both ye and the children of Israel: and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said.
Go and serve your God as you have said. Moses got what he said. Remember that hell has not ceased from being stubborn. Don’t get discouraged when your answer does not come immediately. As we saw above, Moses kept asking until he got their deliverance. Your victory is sure in Jesus name.
